A new year is a time for a fresh start and, for many, that means resolutions focused on improving health. If your goal is to feel better in 2021, consider goals centered on mental health in recognition of Mental Wellness Month in January. You can increase resilience, better manage stress and improve your overall well-being when you enhance mental wellness.
Voom CreativeTM learned a great deal about mental health services while working with client, Calla. The mental health practice provides medication management, supportive therapy and mindfulness based techniques for adults and children for a variety of mental health conditions including stress, anxiety, depression, emotional dysregulation, mood disorders, grief and trauma, midlife/menopause and life issues.
Calla helps patients realize their own abilities and how to cope with normal stresses of life as well as mental health conditions so that patients can live and work productively. The mental health practice takes a holistic approach to patient care to promote eight pillars of complete wellness: physical, emotional, social, spiritual, intellectual, occupational, financial and environmental wellness.
Calla founder, Allison Hill, CNP, Family PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner with a background in child, adolescent and adult psychiatry. She started Calla in 2017 in Hibbing, Minn., to address the lack of local mental health resources and professionals in northern Minnesota. Calla has since expanded to Virginia, Minn. and now has four providers.
Allison reached out to Voom Creative to establish the mental health organization’s name and brand. We used our proven branding process of Discover, Evaluate and Create to develop the Calla name as well as its brand expressions allowing the practice to shape how others think and feel about the organization. For example, the name Calla and its logo featuring the calla lily were selected because the flower symbolizes peace, rebirths and new beginnings. Calla is a succinct and memorable name that aligns with the focus of the practice.
